EDUCATION

Proudly educated in the California Public School System during its golden years, I was an early graduate from El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills,CA. I attended California State University (CSU) Northridge on a music scholarship (voice) and graduated from CSU Sacramento in 1982 with a B.S. in the Social Sciences. I graduated from St. George’s Medical School in Grenada in December 1988 which also included clinical training in England (Poole and Canterbury) and New York (Brooklyn). My Internal Medicine residency was completed at Hartford Hospital (1989-1992), an affiliated hospital of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.

MEDICAL EXPERIENCE

After starting work as a Staff Internist at Summit Medical Center in Oakland,CA in 1993, I helped to found one of California’s first Hospitalist practices with On Call-Physicians Medical Group (OCPMG) starting the administrative practice from my own home. I was the CEO of OCPMG from 1995 – 2001, during which time it grew from 5 to 30 physicians. In 2002 I accepted an invitation to help develop the Hospitalist program at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP). I started a traditional outpatient medical practice in 2003, and in 2007 began my current retainer/concierge practice.
